About this volume
The 13th edition of the book of proceedings of the Kaduna State Chapter of the Materials Science and Technology Society of Nigeria (MSN), from the Chapter's 4th conference, held on 4 November 2017 at the Conference Hall of the Department of Polymer and Textile Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The Chapter, chartered in 2003, serves members in Zaria, Kaduna, Kano, Nasarawa, Bauchi and Yobe, and hosted the national congresses NIMACON 2005 and NIMACON 2016. The volume carries 43 papers on topics including biomimetic robot joints, biosorbents for oil-spill clean-up, drag-reducing polymers, alum from Nigerian kaolinites, nanocrystalline cellulose from rice husk, textile effluent treatment, tannery waste and kenaf fibre processing.
